We are spirit beings having a human experience, and in that dance between matter and light lies the inspiration for these two paintings — A Soul’s Dance 1 and A Soul’s Dance 2.

A Soul’s Dance 1 – Guided by Meditation and Nature

A Soul’s Dance 1 was created following a brief meditation, a space where intuition took the lead. I allowed myself to be guided — by feeling, by light, by the quiet pulse of the unseen. The painting emerged with an earthly and natural essence, suggesting a sense of grounding yet also a light drawing the soul forward. It represents the moment of awakening — when awareness stirs and begins to move toward illumination.

A Soul’s Dance 2 – Balance, Energy, and the Sacred Spiral 

A Soul’s Dance 2 began as a meditation on balance. This time, the brush met a larger canvas and a clearer sense of form. I was inspired by the Taijitu, more commonly known as the Yin and Yang symbol — a timeless expression of duality and harmony.

In this symbol, the dark (yin) embraces stillness, the light (yang) embodies energy, and each holds the seed of its opposite. Together they reflect the eternal flow of unity and separation, motion and rest, soul and matter.

The creative path also followed the geometry of the Fibonacci spiral — a symbol of natural growth, divine proportion, and the evolving path of the spirit. Found in the curves of shells, sunflowers, and galaxies, this spiral mirrors the soul’s journey through endless becoming. Deviation from this ideal path merely represents our free will, the ultimate gift.

After meditation, I allowed the symbols to merge with intuition. Colour flowed into movement; movement became form. The painting was finally sealed and finished with oil colour glazing, giving it a subtle depth and luminous life.

The Meaning of “A Soul’s Dance

Together, these two paintings trace the soul’s story from instinctive emergence to conscious harmony. One speaks in whispers of earth and awakening; the other in spirals of balance and cosmic rhythm. They invite reflection: that each of us, too, is a soul in motion, learning the steps of a timeless dance.
