1.0 What does it really mean to leave a legacy?

For me, it is not simply about leaving possessions, money, or a name behind.

It is about leaving something enduring that is useful or helpful to others, to nature, and to the world, something that continues to have meaning long after I have left this physical body.

I see legacy as part of our life's purpose.

I believe our time here gives us opportunities to learn, experience, and develop as spiritual beings. Perhaps we are also here to care for the world around us, help others through their challenges, and leave something positive behind.

There is a simple principle I have always liked when visiting wild places:

Leave the site as you found it — or, better still, leave it in a better condition. Perhaps we could apply that principle to life itself. What if we each tried to leave the world a little better than we found it?

I know that none of us can change everything, and I certainly don't expect to get everything right. But I believe that small actions, multiplied by many people, can become something much greater. That is why I am continuing to explore how I can live more sustainably and, where possible, move beyond simply doing less harm towards becoming more regenerative — giving something back and helping nature and people to flourish. And perhaps legacy doesn't have to be something we create alone. By sharing what I learn, encouraging others, and creating a community of people who want to make a positive difference, perhaps we can create something that belongs to all of us.

A legacy of care, sustainability, regeneration and positive change.
